Instasmile - The Complete Review

Instasmile is a relatively new company in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Unlike many of the companies we review here at Product Review Hero, Instasmile does not have a large product line with all kinds of different things to choose from. No, they have only one product, but it’s a good one.

We will give you the lowdown on this company, and the service they are providing to their ever growing customer base. We’ll talk about what they do, the options they offer, and how much it’s going to cost you. Then we will give you the chance to take your own risk-free Instasmile assessment to see if it’s a good fit for you.

    What Is Instasmile?

    Instasmile Clip On Veneers

Instasmile as a system whereby you can purchase custom, clip-on dental veneers, from the comfort of your own home, without ever having to visit a dentist or orthodontist.

The process is simple. You order online, they send you an impression kit and then walk you through taking an impression of your teeth. Drop the kit in the mail, and in a few weeks you have a custom-made set of veneers that are perfectly fit to your mouth. You just “clip” them on over your existing teeth and they cover all kinds of imperfections, discolorations, etc. You can get top veneers, bottoms, or both, you can also choose between 2 different grades depending on how frequently you plan on wearing them. All Instasmile veneers are custom made and hand-finished.

We think this system is pretty ingenious for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s super convenient. You can go through the whole process at your kitchen table in less than an hour. Second, Instasmile can be used to cover numerous different dental flaws at a fraction of the cost of traditional dental treatments.

Some of the most common uses are:

Instasmile has an extensive list of possible uses on their website as well as several before and after photos complete with testimonial videos from satisfied customers. We found them interesting, and worth watching if this is something you are considering doing.

    Why Choose Instasmile?

    Why Instasmile

When it comes to cosmetic dentistry there are several options out there. So why choose Instasmile? We’ve compiled a few of the reasons that we think makes them a good choice.

    Affordable

Only A Fraction Of The Cost

When you go to your dentist for traditional veneers you sit there for hours and you can expect pay $1,000 - $3,000 per tooth. This can easily add up to $10,000 or more for a full set.

In contrast you can get a full top and bottom set of custom fit, hand finished, veneers from Instasmile for as low as $799

    The Instasmile Ordering Process

    Instasmile Ordering Process

In our opinion, one of the best things about Instasmile is their ordering process and the fact that you can do eveything from home. I don’t know about you, but I dread going to the dentist, so if I can get my veneers without somebody poking around in my mouth, it’s all the better. Let’s break down the ordering process step by step, so you can see just how easy it is.

    Order Online

The first step to getting your new smile is to go online and take the Instasmile Assessment. They ask you questions about your oral health, whether or not you are missing any teeth, what your goals are with Instasmile, and what color you would like your new veneers to be. At first we wondered why you would want any color other than white, but If you are just getting one set (either tops or bottoms) instead of both, you would want them to match your existing teeth.

The assessment is quick and painless, and at the end they let you know how much it’s going to cost. It ranges from $500 – $1500 depending on the options you choose. At the end of the assessment you checkout or apply for a payment plan and it’s on to the next step.

    Receive Your Activation Call

Once you have placed your order and Instasmile has shipped your impression kit, they will give you a call. This is your activation call and it is important that you listen carefully to the message because it contains crucial information that is needed to activate your order.

During the call you will learn how to create a great first impression. Getting your impression right the first time is pretty important. This has been an issue in the past which is probably why they instituted the activation call system. If the impressions are not done correctly then the veneers cannot be made and the impressions must be re-taken. This drastically increases the time it takes to get your veneers.

    Take Your Instasmile Impression

Taking your impression is the key part in this process, and pretty much your one and only role. It’s not hard, but most people have never done it before, and if you aren’t good at following directions, you could run into a problem. Fortunately, Instasmile sends enough putty to practice with. Between that, the call, and their self-impression video, we feel like the system is virtually fool proof. Here is the self-impression video which walks you step-by-step through exactly what you need to do to get a perfect impression.

As you can see, it’s not rocket science. If you take your time and follow the steps you will be fine, and well on your way to getting your new smile.

After you are done making your impressions, the next step is to take pictures of them and mail them to Instasmile. There, the Instasmile experts will check them and respond to your email with further instructions. If something doesn’t look quite right they may have you re-take an impression. Otherwise, they will have you package up your impressions and mail them in.

After that, all you have to do is wait for Instasmile to send your custom fitted veneers. Standard delivery time is 3 weeks, but you can pay $100 extra to have your order expedited.

And that is really it. We thought the whole thing was quick, easy, and painless, and is a huge reason why we love Instasmile.

    Instasmile's Commitment To Quality

Instasmile’s veneers are made from durable, dental-grade material, and are built to last. Their Platinum model is the most durable and is designed to be worn every day. All veneers come with a 30-day manufacturing warranty and Instasmile offers an optional 12-month extended warranty during checkout.

    Conclusion

We think that Instasmile is a great option for a lot of people. They are easy, fast, and inexpensive. If you want a permanent solution and you have money to burn then yes, the dentist/orthodontist might be right for you. But for a large portion of society, who just want a better smile and aren’t interested in spending the equivalent of a new Cadillac, Instasmile makes a lot of sense.

We think their business model and their product are both great, and we’re happy to give them our stamp of approval.
