Snap On Veneers: What You Need To Know

Snap on veneers before and after

Thinking about snap on veneers? There are lots of reasons that people are unhappy with their smile. Discolored teeth, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, or even missing teeth might cause you to be a little shy when it comes to bearing those pearly whites.

If you’ve looked into fixing any of these issues you undoubtedly know that the dentist and orthodontist bills can add up quickly. Fortunately there is a relatively new innovation that allows you to cover up many of these flaws at a fraction of the price of traditional cosmetic dentistry. They’re known as snap on veneers, or clip on veneers, and they are quickly growing in popularity all across the nation.

If you are interested in upgrading your smile but don’t want to spend a small fortune doing it, snap on veneers might be a good solution. But how much is known about this new invention, what kinds of results are people getting, and how much is it going to cost you? We cracked open the books and did the research to find the answers to all of these questions and more.

Along the way, we came across a company that we really loved called “Instasmile” and wrote a full review about them. But we wanted to write this article just to answer some of the questions you might have as you begin researching snap on veneers.

Can You Eat With Snap On Veneers?

This seems to be a pretty common question, and the answer is…that depends. There are generally a few different grades of veneers that you can buy.

There are really cheap ones that you can get on Amazon for $10. We definitely wouldn’t recommended eating with those. Then, there are the top of the line Platinum Veneers from Instasmile for $1500. With those you can eat pretty much anything, except really hard or chewy foods (treat them like braces).

Even with a legitimate company like Instasmile, you have the option of purchasing your veneers in two different quality levels depending on how frequently you plan on wearing them.

Their mid-grade or Classic clip ons, are meant for medium use and can handle softer foods. And then of course their Platinum veneers can be worn every day and are built to handle almost anything.

Can I Get Snap On Veneers On The Top And Bottom?

    Instasmile Clip On Veneers

Absolutely you can! The process for getting snap on veneers made is virtually the same for the top and bottom teeth. There is no reason they can’t be worn together. If you are willing to shell out the money, you can certainly get both sets. In fact, many people often do this to ensure that the colors match. While you can get veneers in different shades, it can be difficult to perfectly match them to you natural teeth. If you purchase tops and bottoms, you don’t have to worry about that. Also, there is often a discount for purchasing both sets.

    Snap On Veneers On Amazon

I lot of people want to know if they can get their snap on veneers on Amazon. Yes, you CAN buy veneers on Amazon. But, NO, you SHOULD NOT do that. Buying cheap $10 veneers on Amazon, or even $35 ones, is going to live you dissatisfied and wishing you had kept your money. If you are looking for a one time use, and you don’t care about quality or comfort, then perhaps it’s worth it, but if you are looking for any type of permanent, or semi permanent solution, we would caution you to steer clear.

A quick look at the Amazon listings will provide you with all the information you need to know. Most of the products have very bad reviews and the product listings are written in broken English, which is not generally the hallmark of a quality product. For one of the front page listings, out of 257 reviews, 86% of them were 1-star.

The good news is, there are places to get quality snap on veneers. Yes, they will cost more, but you will be much happier in the long run. As we mentioned, our favorite is Instasmile, and we highly recommend them.

How Much Do Snap On Veneers Cost?

    Clip On Veneers Prices

The answer to this question can vary a lot as we have mentioned previously. For a decent set of custom, top and bottom veneers, you should plan on spending between $500 and $1500 depending on what options you go with. We would recommend getting at least a mid grade veneer, so that you can wear them on a regular basis and be able to eat soft food and drink coffee with them in. If you can afford the top of the line ones, even better. Instasmile charges just inder $1500 for a set of top and bottom Platinum (their highest grade) veneers, which are extremely durable and will last for years.

Most reputable companies are going to have some type of financing plan so that you don’t have to come up with all of the money up front. This is nice, and you can end up getting a brand new smile for a monthly payment that’s probably about half the cost of your cable bill.

What Are The Best Snap On Veneers?

    Instasmile Clip On Veneers

We have already mentioned our affinity for Instasmile. They sell a top of the line product, their customer service is on point, and they make the whole process quick and convenient for their customers. We love the fact that you can do everything right from your home. You don’t have to see a dentist or orthodontist, and you get custom, snap on veneers, that are perfectly fitted to your teeth.

The process starts by taking a simple assessment online. This helps you determine which veneers are going to work best in your particular situation. After you choose your snap on veneers, you then schedule a video call where you learn how to properly take impressions of your teeth. Instasmile sends you an impression kit, you take your impressions and mail them back, and in a couple of weeks you have brand new, custom fit veneers.

    Reviews

During our research, we set out to find verified reviews by customers who have purchased and worn snap on veneers. We already told you about some of the bad reviews we discovered on Amazon. Once again, Instasmile takes the cake when it comes to positive reviews. There are thousands of them. They are all verified by Trustpilot, which helps us feel good about their validity. Instasmile also has a section on their website called Smile Stories, where they post video reviews from their customers. We would like to share a couple of them with you here.

    Conclusion

So, to wrap it all up…snap on veneers can be a really good investment for the right person.

Obviously if you have cavities or are in any type of pain, you need to see a dentist. And snap on veneers may not be a good choice if your teeth stick out at harsh angles or are extremely crooked. However, if you are looking to cover up missing or broken teeth, or if you want your teeth to be a little straighter or whiter, this can be a really cost effective solution.

Now, Instasmile isn’t the only company out there that makes good veneers. They are just our favorite here at Product Review Hero. If you decide to go with another company, make sure to do your homework. Check the reviews, and look for information about them independent of their own website. You want to make sure you are getting a product that’s going to look great, and last a long time.
